*MLGEA Monitors Distribution Of Drugs Under Revolving Scheme.*

The Katsina State Ministry for Local Government and Emirate Affairs has monitored the mode of distribution of assorted drugs procured by LGAs for PHCs across the three Senatorial Districts of the state.

The moniting exercise was to confirmed how the drugs were handed over to the LGAs, the mode of distribution, storage condition, inventory and quality of the drugs.

The Commissioner of the Ministry Hon. Bishir Tanimu represented by the DAS Alhaji Bello Isah Fago alongside Director Works Engineer Umar Faroukh Abdullahi inspected the process in Katsina Central Senatorial District.

The exercise in Funtua Zone was monitored by the Special Adviser Local Government Inspectorate Hon. Lawal Rufa'i Safana assisted by Director Common Service Alhaji Nasiru Ibrahim Yar'adua and Director Budget Alhaji Babangida Aminu.

Similarly, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry Alhaji Mas'udu Almustapha Banye who led the monitoring exercise in Dàura Zone was assisted by Director Inspection Alhaji Ibrahim Wali Umar and Director Political Alhaji Sa'adu Abdullahi Dankama.

At all the three Senatorial District, the leaders of the Monitoring Teams were conducted round the Central Stores by Dirctors of Admin and Finance as well as Resident Inspectors of the respective LGAs.

The Team leaders confirmed that the drugs were handed over to the respective officers of the LGAs appropriately, stored properly and the inventory was intact.

While addressing the PHC Directors of the LGAs at the three Senatorial Districts, leadership of the Monitoring Teams explained that the distribution of the drugs was inspected to ensure supply meant for PHCs is in tendam with contract details and the drugs are good and adequately documented. 

They charged the officials to ensure quick and proper distribution of the drugs to the benefitting PHCs in the presence of Village Level Community leaders, Community Development Committee representative and other relevant Stakeholders.

The Commissioner Hon. Bishir Tanimu, S A LG Inspectorate Hon. Lawal Rufa'i Safana and the Permanent Secretary Alhaji Mas'udu Almustapha Banye respectively expressed appreciation over the process followed by the relevant LGA officials while handing and taking over the drugs for successful disbursement to benefitting PHCs across the 34 LGAs.
