Summary of Projects in Katsina LGA
Several impactful projects have been executed across Katsina Local Government to improve healthcare, education, water supply, and infrastructure.
Healthcare Development:
An additional ward was constructed and the Modoji Health Centre (Shinkafi B) was successfully upgraded to a Maternity and Child Health Centre, enhancing access to quality healthcare services.
Solar Street Lighting:
All-in-one solar street lights were installed in multiple communities, including Kofar Marusa, Gabasawa, Gobarau, Unguwar Yari, Turarruka, Kofar Kaura, Makera Gwangwan, Modoji, Goruba Housing Estate, Inwala, and Asibitin Malam Barau—improving security and night-time visibility.
Educational Support:
Textbooks and Arabic books were distributed to students at Sir Usman Nagogo College of Arabic and Islamic Studies, supporting academic development.
Water Supply Projects:
Solar-powered boreholes were constructed and installed in key locations such as Inwala, Kerau, Goruba Housing Estate, Kofar Bai, Filin Polo, and Kwado, ensuring access to clean and reliable water.
Project Status:
Most of the listed projects have been completed, with some ongoing to further enhance development in the area.
