SENATOR ƳAR ADDU'A EMPOWERMENT

*Senator AbdulAziz Yar'adua Launches Largest Grassroot Intervention initiative*

Constituents of Katsina Central Senatorial District have a sigh of relief as Senator AbdulAziz Musa Yar'adua flags off Mega Empowerment Programme worth N1.5 Billion that touches all aspects of life across the 11 LGAs of the Senatorial District.

The Empowerment Programme which took place at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium on Sunday marked the ever largest grassroot intervention initiative sponsored by an elective Senator in the state. 

The initiative that witnessed the blessings of the State Governor and other high propiled politicians rolled out 40 vehicles, 5 Ambulances, 410 motorcycles, 200 Tricycles, 400 Sewing Machines, 400 Grinding Machines, 100 Bicycles, and hundreds of Refrigerators as well as N150 Million.

The 100 Bicycles were meant to support students of one the Day Secondary Schools in Danmusa local government area to ease their transportation to and from school.

Another support of N10 Million by the Senator during the event goes to the families of the fallen Community Watch Corps members who 
died in the line of duty.

Launching the Mega Empowerment initiative, the State Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda described the initiative as a reflection of responsive leadership and a commitment to improving the welfare and livelihoods of citizens amid prevailing economic challenges.

He said the intervention would strengthen grassroots economic activities and improve living conditions across beneficiary communities.

Speaking at the event, Senator AbdulAziz Yar'adua described the initiative as a fulfillment of his promise to assist in tackling economic hardship at the grassroot.

The Senator also highlighted some of his legislative efforts as according to him, five bills most of which targetted security challenges and border related issues affecting border communities like Jibia in Katsina State were sponsored by him.

Senator AbdulAziz Yar'adua reaffirmed commitment towards sustaining such initiatives to improving living standard of his constituents, describing the programme as a moment of fulfillment for him and his constituents.

On his part, the State Chairman of the APC Dr. Bishir Gambo Saulawa appreciated the efforts of the Senator, describing it as a model of people focused leadership and urged other politicians to emulate.

Some of the beneficiaries described the programme as more than Empowerment, saying that it is a sign that governance can deliver directly to the people.

The event was attended by the Speaker Katsina House of Assembly, Hon Nasir Yahaya Daura; Principal Private Secretary to the Governor, Hon. Abdullahi Aliyu Turaji; members of the Katsina State Executive Council; all local government chairmen from Katsina Central Zone; members of the State House of Assembly; and other senior government officials
